BamBooze, Changi Village's Favorite Local

BamBooze was started up in 2002, after Arun & Connie were on the prowl round the village one night and couldn't find a warm friendly bar. It was the Chinese New Year season and frankly the village seemed like a ghost town. Back then, Europa Nightclub was the main source of entertainment but it was jammed packed due to the lunar festivities. There was also "Friends Café” but they only served beer back then - there were no hard spirits. The only other little bar “Derek’s was closed as well. Having grown up in Changi, I loved the area, and Arun with his genuine love of alcoholic beverages & $$$ sniffed out the potential of having a really friendly no airs bar in Changi where one could chill out, guff down premium ales & spirits at affordable prices. A bar that would be open 364 days a year, we only close on Xmas Day, hey you have to honor Jesus, he turned water into wine. A bar that you could come to dressed in shorts or suit and you would be served with a smile. Right there & then the tone & feel of BamBooze was decided upon.

On March 10th 2002, construction of the only long bar in Changi Village was completed. Our Belgium premium Stella Artois beer tap was installed on the 11th of March 2002. BamBooze Bar & Bistro was opened for business & we served our first beer on that day.

Andy ‘D’Man” Peters was the first to Mann the bar, with Janna “Big Eyes” as barmaid. Ariff our Bangladeshi butler/cook/cleaning specialist rounded up the crew as Connie & Arun set sail on their premium beers, ales & spirits galore alcoholic cruise.

Thru the years we have been privileged to have a stellar cast of superstar staff, who have added color & soul to our lil establishment. Georgia “D’Proffessional”. The entertainingly pleasant sisters Jess & Maryanne. Saddam Hussain the In disposal Immigrant”, a true gentleman. The Toxic Twins ” Vannessa & Victoria Barker, charmingly wicked & witty. Party Chief Rory Barker, Glorious Gloria, who will order your dinner, listen to your tales & tease you just for giggles. Evan “D”Apprentice”, official bodyguard for all our regulars lovely daughters, the sexually confused naïve Hanis Blodwyn, plus all the beautiful babes (thank heaven for little girls) who have lent their cleavages & smiles to add to the warmth & soul of BamBooze.

About Us

BamBooze is the little village or ‘kampong’ bar where you come to meet friendly faces, have pleasant intelligent engaging conversations, nibble on Satay, or chomp on a Burger, Steak, Chili Crab, Dim Sum, Pizza, why we even have Singapore’s favorites flaky Roti Prata or Chicken Rice. How is such a diverse menu possible? Tasty food from all over the village is served at your table & BamBooze will help you wash it down with our wicked array of drinks always served with a smile. We are very proud to introduce Singapore’s fave delicacies to tourists staying at the Changi Village Hotel, which is, situated a few doors down from where BamBooze is located.

We are very much a net working bar for the OFFSHORE OIL & GAS INDUSTRY are lucky to have the support of many of the major Seismic,Rov,Diving and etc companies. Activities in connection with the exploration of the seabed or subsoil & natural recourses of the sea, laying or repairing oil or gas lines in the UK or Norwegian section or North Sea are commonly discussed over an icy cold beer at BamBooze. A vibrant balance of expats, locals & foreign clientele pretty much sums up who hangs out at BamBooze. So if a clever cosmopolitan mix of professionals, service men, airline crew, cool couples, crazy technical experts & a handful of hot babes are your bag than BamBooze is the bar for you.

We serve premium international draught Stella Artois, Hoegarden, London Pride. Other beers include Tiger, Heineken, Erdinger, Boddintons, Irish Ales, Guinness Draught, Kilkenny, English Ciders and full Prime Pour spirits. Heck we even make up a slick Singapore Sling and bad wicked Martinis. The Lychee Martini is a house specialty.

Weekdays enjoy super happy hour 3pm -8pm with monthly drink specials. Fridays are lively with complimentary bar snacks. We play great music from oldies to classic rock, current hits, just whisper your fave tune and we will be happy to play it. Saturdays sports take centre stage with rugby, football, cricket & what’s in season tuned in. Sundays are mellow with dads & kids in tow, just hanging in the village
